Day 2: Second Preview

August 7, 2011 | By Ingrid | Filed in: Edinburgh, Previews.

Today was a very. rainy. day. Yesterday there was a bit of drizzle, but at least it was warm.  Today, it was cold.  And wet.  However, we were determined to stand our ground on the Mile.  Weather was not going to take the fun out of flyering.  Ohhhhh no.

Given the miserable weather, we figured we’d have to work extra hard to bring in an audience.  We went with the same formula as yesterday: cheap ticket prices and lots of free vouchers.

We must have chalked up some big points for perserverence as we stood in the rain, singing our hearts out and passing out soggy flyers because when we pitched up at Paradise in Augustine’s, there was a huge queue of people waiting for tickets.  We actually ended up turning people away at the door!

The audience was great and we all felt that this was our best performance so far.  Thank you, Edinburgh for the experience of playing before a sold-out house!
