because a distant ancestor of our
modern beans laughed so hard
at her friends’ misfortunes
that she needed
stitching back
together.

Well,
my beans
must have been
laughing very hard indeed;
instead of thin black seams,
they are wearing big black patches.
I wonder what they found so funny…?
