I was never able to figure it out! Further down the path, there was a sign in the same style that said BEWARE PEDESTRIANS, but it was angled such that only pedestrians could see it, as far as I could tell. Perhaps they’re really there to make you question who you are and what your role is on the great cycle path/pedestrian crossing of life! Uh…. :)
